I would like to introduce myself. My name is Gail Van Blarcom, and I have been a cosmetologist for over 40 years.  I am also  certified as a lecturer/facilitator for the Look Good Feel Better Program, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, where I was responsible for the classes provided by Virtua in Voorhees and the Cooper Cancer Center in Voorhees, New Jersey.

On March 28, 2011, I have opened a Cancer Beauty Needs Boutique called True Boutique. The boutique is strictly designed for cancer patients, where they can come to have all of their beauty needs met by a trained and skilled cosmetologist. My services are to help cancer patients who are dealing with the effects of chemotherapy. We will guide and assist them in making the right decisions for their hair. We will assist them in selecting, styling, and cutting their wigs. There will be demonstrations for fashion wear such as scarves, sleep caps, and hats. We will be offering comforting oils and creams, and organic an make-up line, stenciling eyebrows, and our special feature which is Brian Joseph gel specifically for eyebrows. Information and catalogs will be provided about breast prosthesis, swimwear, and lingerie to help each client go through this difficult time. We also have support group information from Virtua, Cooper, and JFK hospitals to help them during this journey.

Throughout my four decades of client experience, I have been exposed to countless women going through cancer and chemotherapy treatments. I feel so privileged to be able to help these women feel good about themselves while going through this difficult time in their life. Most importantly, I will be able to offer them comfort, support, and compassion in a completely private room in the boutique.

I would like to welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my qualifications and services. I believe my training and experiences have given me the skills required to make a valuable contribution to  help those in need. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.

Sincerely,

   Gail Van
